What you will do: The Marketing Communications Coordinator will create and distribute digital and print content for a wide variety of communication channels supporting a variety of entrepreneurship-focused programs. They will help create and execute integrated marketing communications plans while ensuring overall brand and message consistency. They will document CREA events and CREA-network activities. They may additionally be called upon to collaborate with local and campus partners to promote events and program applications. They will assist with project management, event promotion and post event follow-up, create multimedia content, design print and digital collateral, and write and edit social media posts, newsletters, press releases, and web content. Most importantly, they will be a part of a modern, matrixed, collaborative team helping springboard startups to success. This is a one-year term position with the possibility of extension depending on funding and performance. On Campus This position is located in Ithaca, New York and is an on-campus position although the successful candidate may be permitted perform a portion of their work remotely. You will need: Associate’s degree and 4-6 years of experience in marketing, communications, journalism, writing or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Professional attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and execution Comfortable working in a fast paced dynamic environment where change is part of the culture; capable of setting priorities under pressure Must demonstrate a positive, purpose-oriented work ethic Must have demonstrated the ability collaborate with others while working independently and with minimal supervision Experience managing social media accounts Basic experience with design software programs including Canva and the Adobe Creative Suite Experience using AP writing style and the ability to write professionally for a variety of mediums including websites, email, social media, and blogs A passion for telling stories with words, pictures, and multimedia that connect to larger integrated marketing plan priorities Understanding of integrated brand management and how to create pieces that align with brand guidelines If you have any of the following, it’s a great bonus: At least 6 -12 months experience in marketing and communications roles involving integrated brand management.
